Frequently asked questions
What area does Flathead Mobile Tire serve?

Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Lakeside, Somers and Evergreen, MT. If your address is near that range but not sure, call or text (406) 260-9661 and ask.

How do I book an appointment?

Call, text, or email. Call or text (406) 260-9661, or email service@flatheadmobiletire.com. Tell us what you need, your vehicle, and where you'd like the work done, and we'll get you on the schedule.

What do I need to have ready for the appointment?

A vehicle parked somewhere flat and level with enough room to work safely around it. If you're storing your own off-season tires, have them ready too, unless we're already handling that as part of the booking.

Does weather affect whether you can come out?

We work through most weather the Flathead Valley throws at us. A genuinely unsafe storm, heavy ice, extreme wind, might mean rescheduling, and we'll always call ahead if that's the case rather than leave you wondering.

How do I pay?

Payment is handled on-site once the work is done. If you have a preference, mention it when you book and we'll confirm it works.

How long does a seasonal tire swap take?

A standard swap moves quickly since it's built around your schedule, not a shop's. Exact timing depends on the vehicle, but most swaps are done well within an hour.

Do you sell tires directly?

We work as an independent Tire Rack installer. You order tires you want through Tire Rack, and we bring the install to you instead of you needing to pick up a set from a shop.

How does the Tire Rack order process work?

Call or text us before you order so we can walk you through routing your Tire Rack order to us. Once it arrives, book an install time and we'll mount it wherever your vehicle is.

Can you install tires I already bought elsewhere?

In most cases, yes. Bring us what you have and we'll mount, balance, and get you rolling.

What does TPMS service involve?

TPMS covers your tire pressure warning system, sensor checks, resets, relearns, and replacement when a sensor's battery has worn out. Call for pricing since it depends on what your vehicle needs, and a minimum service fee may apply.

Do you work on trailer tires?

Yes, boat trailers, utility trailers and camper trailers. Call for pricing, since load range and trailer size vary a lot.

Is balancing included with a swap or install?

Yes. Every seasonal swap and every new tire install includes balancing on our Hunter SmartWeight Elite balancer at no extra charge.

Can you come to my workplace instead of my home?

Yes. As long as there's safe, level space to park and work, we'll come to an office lot, a job site, wherever fits your day better.

What if my flat tire can't be repaired?

We'll tell you straight if a tire isn't a safe candidate for repair, and talk through getting a replacement installed on the spot instead.
